Your details will be placed on the Skill Matching Database which is made available to the State and Territory governments and other regional employers. One of these entities may nominate you for a vacancy that cannot be filled from local applicants.

Family Sponsored visas

If you or your spouse has an relative who is an Australian permanent resident, that relative may be able to sponsor you for one of the following visas:

Skilled-Designated Area Sponsored

You must satisfy the basic requirements but do not need to pass the points test. If you (or your spouse) have a relative who lives in a designated area of Australia that is willing to nominate you and provide an assurance of support you can apply for a visa under this category.

Skilled-Australian Sponsored

You must satisfy the basic requirements and pass the points test. for this category. You must have a relative who is an Australian permanent resident or citizen and who is willing to sponsor you. You must also have an assurance of support – this can be from the same relative. You earn an extra 15 points from this relationship, which may help you to pass the points test.
